"Australia Varietal Tasting Series" - £195 The Wine & Spirit Education Trust in association with Wine Australia


This will be a six-week programme on consecutive Monday evenings, 6.30 pm to approximately 8.30 pm throughout September and October 2008, and comprises the following sessions to be guided and tutored by visiting Australian representatives of the wine industry:


Monday evening September 22nd

"Riesling - Clare Valley, Eden Valley, Great Southern


Monday evening September 29th

"Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc - Hunter Valley, Adelaide Hills, Margaret Valley


Monday evening October 6th

"Chardonnay" - Margaret River, Yarra Valley


Monday evening October 13th

"Pinot Noir" - Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, Tasmania


Monday evening October 20th

Cabernet Sauvignon" - Coonawarra, Margaret River


Monday evening October 27th

"Shiraz" - Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Grampians, Western Australia

On successful completion of the course, the candidate will receive a signed certificate. Although the course is mainly aimed at the consumer or wine enthusiast who normally does not work in the wine industry, it will also benefit those who are professionals working in the trade as well. This is an opportunity not to be missed. All glassware and spittoons will be provided and up to 12 wines per evening session will be shown.
