WSET's seminar details
Title: Education for expansion: Knowledge holds the key to the global future of the Canadian wine industry
Admission: this is for trade professionals only, as part of the Symposium on the Wine Economy in Canada (organised by VIWF)
Seminar date and time: 15 February; 2pm-3pm
In every sector and at every level, training staff to know your portfolio is crucial for performance. Whether they work in a winery, on the shop floor, behind the bar or touring trade shows, deeper knowledge enhances confidence, conviction, and passion for the product, which will directly translate into happier customers, new consumers of Canadian wine and stronger profits.
But how do you justify the cost of training and how much do staff really need to know to benefit the business?
During this seminar, alongside our expert panel of Barbara Philip MW, Mark Davidson and Elsa MacDonald DipWSET, WSET Chief Executive Ian Harris will lead a discussion on how local wine industries and companies can benefit from learning about the broader global market.
