About the course
This three day course combines the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines, WSET Level 1 Award in Wine Service and the WSET Level 1 Award in Spirits. Aspiring sommeliers will gain basic competencies in product knowledge, food and wine pairing, and wine service for a restaurant setting.

Successful students will receive certificates for all three WSET Level 1 Awards, and lapel pins for the Level 1 Award in Wines and Level 1 Award in Spirits (there is no lapel pin for the Level 1 Award in Service).

- Social responsibility surrounding wine and spirits consumption
Do I need any prior knowledge?
No prior knowledge is required. All classes are delivered in English therefore a good level of English is beneficial.
What study options are available?
At WSET School London we provide this classroom based course over three consecutive days.

How much does it cost?
The cost includes all study materials, wine and spirit samples, tuition, examination and provision of service equipment during the course. Study materials are issued at the start of the course.
If you already hold the Level 1 Award in Wines you are eligible to omit this day of the course and receive a reduction in cost by contacting Student Services at firstname.lastname@example.org or on +44(0)20 7089 3841.
Assessment for each component of the course takes place in the last session of each day.
Day one (Level 1 Award in Wines) exam consists of 30 multiple choice questions to be completed in 45 minutes. To pass you must correctly answer 70% of the questions.
Day two (Level 1 Award in Wine Service) is assessed with a role play restaurant wine service scenario.
Day three (Level 1 Award in Spirits) exam consists of 30 multiple choice questions to be completed in 45 minutes. To pass you must correctly answer 70% of the questions.
Notice of qualification withdrawal
Please note that the Level 1 Introduction to Sommellerie will be permanently withdrawn on 31 July 2018. All examinations and resits for this qualification must be completed by this date. If you have any queries or concerns, please email email@example.com
