Event details

Evenings

Biodynamic wine has been around since the 1920s and, unlike natural wine, it has its own official certification. From following the lunar calendar to preparations and burying horns, it brings with it as many raised eyebrows as it does devoted fans.

At this masterclass with Eliza Parkes DipWSET, you'll explore:

  • A brief history of Biodynamic farming and Steiner’s lectures
  • What options are available to both growers and winemakers
  • Which are the most adopted practices by modern producers
  • Where the controversies lie

We will taste through a broad range of styles from across the globe that have been made using these principles and delve deeper into each of their practices.

Example wine list

  • Thierry Germain 'Roche Neuve Fruit', Saumur Champigny
  • Cullen 'Red Moon'
  • Littori Pinot Noir, California
  • Mount Horrocks Watervale Riesling
  • Ancre Hill Blanc de Blancs
  • Judith Beck 'Hunny Bunny'
  • Arianna Occhipinti 'SP68', Sicily
  • Domaine de Montille 'Les Aigrots Blanc 1er Cru', Beaune
