Join Sera Karamshuk DipWSET on a voyage around the Black Sea: not just another cradle of winemaking, but the ancient wine world itself.

Event details

From Georgia’s buried qvevri cellars to Ukraine’s sea-kissed vineyards and Bulgaria’s mountain reds, explore the original wine coast of Europe: the Black Sea. Sera will be your captain on this sensory trip through cultures, climates and centuries of winemaking.

Expect new grape names, surprising styles, wines that will take you to places you may have never been and capture that sense of discovery that makes wine so endlessly fascinating.

Wines will be enjoyed alongside a selection of cheeses from La Fromagerie.

About the presenter, Sera Svitlana Karamshuk DipWSET

Sera Svitlana Karamshuk

Sera is a wine educator at WSET School London, as well as a communicator and visual content creator. Find her on Instagram @sera_crow.

Born and raised in Ukraine, she is on a mission to elevate the world's appreciation of her homeland's rich winemaking heritage. She aspires to see more people raising a glass of Ukrainian wine in celebration of peace, resilience, and courage.

Originally a chemist, Sera worked on solar cells before going off to search for a new project where chemistry blends with creativity and makes people a bit happier and connected to their roots and each other, bringing about a transition from chemicals in sturdy flasks to grapes in elegant glasses.
