About the presenter, Kelly Stuart

Kelly joined the world of wine after a lightbulb moment during her architecture studies. She subsequently enrolled in Lincoln University’s Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology programme and never looked back.
Since then she has worked vintages in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, and California. She joined Cloudy Bay as a cellar hand in 2016, becoming assistant winemaker two years later and winemaker in 2023. She has represented Cloudy Bay twice in the Young Winemaker of the Year awards and was the national runner-up in 2018. In 2022, she travelled to Champagne to work at Veuve Clicquot during their harvest, taking time afterwards to travel in France and spend time tasting wines in Burgundy and the Loire.
Winemaking is complex and Kelly knows what it takes to keep things running smoothly. She believes good winemaking is about having an excellent team and taking meticulous care with every step.
