What do the Spanish fortified wine and malted barley spirit have in common? This tasting will explore both sides of the Sherry-Whisky equation, discussing the fundamental aspects linked to both as well as highlight the unsung hero: the wood.
You will be guided through a comparative tasting of sherry and whisky, covering production method, ageing and characteristics of the fortified wine and the spirit.
Guests will enjoy the drinks alongside a selection of snacks such as nuts, olives and cheese.

Intermediate: An in-depth exploration of a particular topic. Some prior knowledge is beneficial – such as a WSET Level 2 qualification – but these sessions will be enjoyable and educational for anyone with an interest in the subject.
About the presenter, Diego Borrás Moreno
Diego is a spirits and sherry educator and spirits judge. He runs an independent business in cask procurement for maturation of spirits (mainly whisky, but some beers too) and is the organiser of Whisky Live Madrid.

- Cancellations and transfers can be made up to two weeks before the event.
- Cancellations within 10 working days are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another event.
- If you need to change a name on the booking, please give us as much notice as possible.
- WSET School London reserves the right to cancel an event. If necessary, a full refund or transfer will be offered.
