Swiss wine expert Simon Hardy DipWSET returns to explore the flagship wine styles of Switzerland.

Event details

Swiss wines are among Europe’s rarest: the vast majority never leave the country. Swiss wine expert Simon Hardy DipWSET joins us at this tasting to showcase the flagship styles of Switzerland’s Alpine vineyards, where cool climates and dramatic sites produce wines defined by freshness and precision.

The line-up of nine wines centres on the country’s two leading grapes, Chasselas and Pinot Noir, with benchmark examples from Vaud, Deutschschweiz and Three Lakes regions. From Valais Simon will explore distinctive indigenous varieties such as Petite Arvine and Cornalin, as well as regional specialities including white Merlot from Ticino and Amigne, finishing with a rare sweet wine from Valais.

Spanning multiple regions and styles, this is a brilliant opportunity to engage with the identity of Swiss wines through a distinctly Alpine lens.
