Taste a range of outstanding English sparkling wines and explore how the UK is continuing to develop its premium offering, with Master of Wine Mike Best.

Event details

English sparkling wine has firmly established itself as world class. How did we get here and what is the future for this country? Master of Wine and English sparkling wine expert Mike Best joins us to explore how the style and quality from this still embryonic wine producing country is continuing to develop.

From the emerging category of English 'prestige cuvees' to fine Blanc de Blancs and signature blends, Mike has selected a flight of very special English wines, a cut above their (already impressive) entry level examples. Mike will discuss the stories behind the most important names in UK wine and help bring structure and focus to understanding this wine country with enormous potential.

This tasting aims to show the very best of what England has to offer and allow an insight into how different philosophies and winemaking techniques take hold.
