Join Shane Jones DipWSET for an in-depth exploration of Gavi, Piemonte's flagship white wine and one of Italy's most celebrated styles.
Event details
With a viticultural history dating back to 972 AD, the wines of Gavi have earned an international reputation for elegance, freshness and drinkability. Produced exclusively from the floral, high-acid Cortese grape, Gavi has become a benchmark for Italian white wine. But if you think you already know Gavi, think again!
This masterclass hosted by Shane Jones DipWSET will discuss Gavi's evolution - from a growing understanding of the impact of its red and white soils to newly recognised quality subzones. You'll have the opportunity to taste the rare sparkling examples and high quality Riserva wines, and consider how careful winemaking techniques are adding depth, complexity and ageability to modern, premium Gavi.
Whether you're already a Gavi fan or looking to discover a new side to these wines, Shane will showcase the true breadth and quality this region has to offer.
