Current and future trends in wine

Make sure you’re on top of the current trends in wine and find out what are some of the future trends that are predicted with Julia Lambeth DipWSET, so that you can make sure that your wine lists are up to date and that you can maximise your wine sales.
The session will cover some of the trends that have been ongoing for a while (sparkling wine, orange wine, rose wine), as well as look at some tips for the future such as premium by the glass options and lower alcohol options. The session will include a tasting of 2 wines.

Julia Lambeth DipWSET | Educator and Course Manager, WSET School London
Julia has been working with wine for over 15 years, first in wine retail and then as an educator, but has also had various jobs in hospitality prior to that. She is currently an educator at the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET), the world leading provider of drinks education, with 12 qualifications across wine, spirits, beer and sake; in 70 countries and over 15 languages. In her role she teaches students at all levels of experience and helps them to understand the varied world of wine, both in terms of the theory behind wine making and production, and in terms of learning how to taste wine and prepare for tasting exams.
Julia is also on the road to becoming and Master of Wine, having been studying for the past 3 years, and has a particular expertise in German and fortified wines.
