Albariño is a grape variety that many people know and love, but it is also a grape grown in a range of locations and made in a range of styles. Join Julia Lambeth DipWSET after her recent study trip to Rías Baixas (thought to be the home of Albariño), to discover more about the characteristics of the grape, why it is so well suited to making wine there, and the many different wine styles and qualities that are made there. The session will also look at other regions around the world where Albariño is grown, including neighbouring Vinho Verde in Portugal, but also regions further afield such as Uruguay!
