Discover how one of Spain’s most distinctive wine regions is redefining Monastrell. From high-altitude vineyards to an unforgiving climate, Jumilla produces wines of depth, power and character. In this session, explore how environment, tradition and modern winemaking come together to shape a region that is gaining increasing global attention.

Event details

Jumilla sits on a high plateau in south-eastern Spain, where extreme temperatures, low rainfall and abundant sunshine create a challenging but rewarding environment for viticulture.

It is home to the world’s largest area of Monastrell, a grape that thrives in these conditions, producing wines with concentration, structure and a strong sense of place.

In this webinar, you’ll explore:

  • What defines Jumilla as a quality wine region

  • How climate and altitude influence grape growing and wine style

  • The role of Monastrell in shaping the region’s identity

  • Why Jumilla is gaining recognition on the global stage

Whether you're looking to deepen your regional knowledge or broaden your understanding of Spanish wines, this session offers a focused introduction to a region worth knowing.
